I am deeply honored and sense a profound responsibility in announcing my election as 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬 for the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐔𝐒𝐒), a global scientific society with a presence reaching every corner of the world.

To many who have asked about the scope of this new role: leading the Board of Supervisors of such a prestigious international organization is more than a career milestone. It is a mission of high-level of 𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 that requires a delicate balance between technical rigor and international diplomacy.

Throughout my mandate, I am committed to applying my expertise across three fundamental pillars:

🔹 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 & 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐲: Operating on a global scale, my priority will be to harmonize the perspectives of researchers and institutions from diverse geographical and political backgrounds. Science must speak a universal language of progress, and my role is to facilitate this dialogue across national borders.

🔹 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 & 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲:The Board I chair holds the vital task of safeguarding the integrity of the Society’s mission. This goes beyond operational management; it is about ensuring that every strategic decision, funding process, and review protocol is ethically impeccable and fully transparent.

🔹 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐭𝐲:Managing an international Board means orchestrating diverse talents and visions across multiple time zones. My leadership will focus on effective delegation and building a strategic direction that allows the United State of Science to anticipate future scientific challenges while never losing sight of the “Big Picture.”
