The study explains that a future “artificial womb” cannot simply be a passive environment: human gestation is a dynamic dialogue fundamental for preparing the fetus for the stress of the outside world. To replicate this process, Artificial Intelligence will have to act as a true “algorithmic mother,” actively engineering the biological and epigenetic development of the unborn child.

This scenario raises enormous dilemmas: who will decide which human characteristics are “optimal”? The risk is transforming life itself into a commercial product to be optimized.
